Attorney General Miyares: COVID-19 vaccine not required for schools in Virginia

Virginia’s Attorney General, Jason Miyares, has issued a favorable legal opinion about whether the recent action by the CDC’s ACIP committee recommending the addition of the COVID-19 vaccine to the CDC’s childhood schedule. However, we are not sure we agree with his assessment. We will be contacting the Attorney General with our concerns.
