Statement from Virginia State Vaccination Coordinator Christy Gray on the Recommendations of the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna COVID-19 Vaccines for Children 6 Months Through 4 Years of Age and 6 Months through 5 Years of Age, Respectively

Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 6 months to under 5 years (Pfizer) and under 6 years (Moderna) are now available. The Virginia Department of Health urges parents and guardians to talk to their pediatricians or other healthcare providers about vaccinating their youngest children.
